Pressroom Tech Tip Exposure Bulb Tips - Why should I replace my bulbs if they still light? UV-A and UV-C exposure bulbs lose output intensity over time. Please see these tips on proper maintenance of this critical component to producing consistent quality photopolymer plates. Submitted by Larry Dingman, APR's Product Manager, Photopolymer Plates Quick Tip Barcodes & Impression Settings Sometimes when your barcode is reversed out in a solid the center of the code appears to be the low spot on the plate. This is only due to the solid "bearing up" over the fine line of the bar code. To reduce over impression put a layer of 3M 600 tape under the code. This will raise the code approximately .0015 and will no longer miss in the center. As always in combination plates (solid and fine line) use a medium to high density cushion tape line to support the solid and be forgiving on that line work.
