Tech Tip 1
Gray Balance - Part 3
The standard color separation halftone printing process is based on the combined effects of additive and subtractive color-mixing principles. In chromatic process-color printing, all hues, as well as black and neutral gray, essentially are made with the three basic inks...

Tech Tip 2
Proper Ink Filtration
Filtration is an area that does not often get enough attention. Ink with everything in it, from unidentifiable lumps to part of someone's lunch, will not print the way you and your customers want. Metal blades will shed particles...

Tech Tip 3
"Open" vs. "Proprietary" Workflows
As the technology world rages on, proprietary workflows always seem to be a part of it. Proprietary workflows can lock companies into long-term commitments and capitol investments that are difficult if not impossible to recover or change...

Graymills offers the M3 High Performance Ink Pump
With new Quick Demountable Option for Increased Productivity
The M3 pump was designed for wide web applications, especially those requiring higher viscosities and/or higher print decks.
Standard Features
- The tri-rod construction weighs less than comparable solid column designs making this pump much easier to handle. The open design prevents hard-to-clean ink build up prevalent in solid column pumps. Columns are Teflon non-stick coated for quick, easy, and thorough cleaning.
- The high performance volute design provides high lift and excellent flow rates making it ideal for high viscosity inks or high decks.
- The ergonomic handle design makes lifting easier and safer.
- The Celcon Impellers are molded, light weight, glass-filled thermoplastic which make them exceptionally durable, abrasion-resistant and chemically inert to printing solvents.
- Provides in-tank agitation.
- 5,10,20 or 30 gallon mild steel tank standard. 10,20 or 30 gallon stainless steel tank optional.
New Optional Feature
Quick demountable motor coupler allows you to remove the pump from the motor assembly by simply making a quarter turn on three patented Graymills fasteners. The motor separates from the pump assembly to facilitate clean-up and/or fast and easy pump swap outs.

Matchprint Inkjet Proofing System
Correct color now... Superior color control... Versatile proofing
The Matchprint Inkjet System gives you accuracy you can trust at a price-per-proof that's economical enough to make proofs at every step of the production process. And nobody but Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) can promise an accurate simulation of Matchprint Analog proofs, an industry standard for accurate color prediction.
It is critical that the first proof you put in front of your client sets a realistic expectation of the final Matchprint proofs used by the printer. With the Matchprint Inkjet System, you get accurate color with no excuses or surprises - from beginning to end.
The Matchprint Inkjet System features:
- Compatibility with KPG-qualified inkjet printers
- Matchprint Color RIP software
- Matchprint Inkjet base materials
- Color space based on actual Matchprint analog CMYK formulations
- Automatic conversion of custom and corporate colors to CMYK
- True four-color CMYK proofing - no "composite black"
- A licensed PANTONE® color library
- Unlimited user-defined custom colors
- Up to 12 color separations for proofing (CMYK plus eight additional colors)
- Configurable hot folders and spoolers
- Autorotation
- Cropping, tiling & nesting (with v2.0 and later for large format devices)

3M Clean-Walk Mats
3M Clean-Walk Mats are an effective and relatively inexpensive solution to help prevent dirt contamination in prepress and platemaking rooms. The mats' large adhesive surface has room for two steps, so the mats capture more dirt. The dirt stays on the mat, helping to keep work areas clean. When the top sheet becomes soiled, it can be peeled back to reveal a clean sheet. Some customers have also placed the mats under equipment to collect dust that often builds up there and can be tough to reach with normal housekeeping activities.
3M Clean-Mats are available in various sizes:
|
 |
3M™ Clean-Walk Mat 5800 White, 18 in x 36 in, 4 per box, 1 box per case
Each mat includes 30 adhesive layers, mounted on a 2.0 mil polyethylene backing.
3M™ Clean-Walk Mat 5801 White, 18 in x 45 in, 4 per box, 1 box per case
