Folex Coating Plates & Underpacking
Folacoat Plus PET
The standard product Folacoat Plus PET comprises a tear resistant, dimensionally stable, two-layer polyester carrier and a varnish-transferring polymer layer. Available in the nominal thicknesses: 1.15 / 1.35 mm
For preparation with manually cutting, Folacoat Plus PET Diazo can also be used.
Instead of the slipping film, the surface has a light-sensitive Diazo coating, which enables the image to be exposed onto the surface and used as a guide to cutting/stripping out.
Folabase Soft U
Folabase SOFT U are our swell resistant compound underpacking made of dimensionally stable polyester and soft polyurethane. The softer structure imitates the flexibility of paper underpacking and facilitates handling. Compared to board underpacking sheets, even extreme creasing paper jams does not damage this polymer underpacking, which ensures long-term optimum dot transfer.
Folacomp F
Folacomp F offers dimensionally stable yet flexible underpacking made of several layers of fast regenerating foam and fabric. Available in the nominal thicknesses: 1.2 / 1.35 / 1.5 / 1.7 / 1.85 / 2.1 mm
Folabase H 47
Unlike its predecessor, Folabase H45, the standard product Folabase H47 is ideal for all cylinder surfaces and is especially recommended for the use on plate cylinders. Thanks to a new adhesive system with improved chemical resistance this underpacking film offers a stronger fixation of the glue to the polyester film. Therefore the cylinder remains in the cleanest condition possible when underpackings are being changed. This saves expensive make-ready time.
The nominal thickness range is meeting higher precision compared to available underpacking materials and the distance of the single thicknesses has been reduced.
Folabase H47 offers a corrosion protection and is made of environmentally friendly polyester material.
