The Graymills megaMAG

The megaMAG is a stainless steel encased rare earth magnet with 10X the magnetic strength of a conventional magnet. The design and new, super size of the megaMAG causes the magnetic field to radiate horizontally throughout the filter and attract metal fines and larger volume of ink flowing through the filter. This new design significantly reduces the chance of particulate scoring or damaging the anilox rolls due to metal contaminates to the ink.

The megaMAG is contained in a highly polished stainless steel shell with a domed end. The domed end diverts the ink to create a streamlined flow through the magnetic field. The megaMAG's super size increases particle exposure time to a magnetic field that is several times greater than that of conventional magnets.

Rare earth magnets are extremely stable and will last a lifetime. They are virtually indestructible. If dropped, the magnetic field is not damaged and heat will not affect the magnet's power to attract metal particles. The highly polished stainless steel surface of the megaMAG will not rust, and is easily cleaned with the quick wipe of a shop cloth. The specialized welding of megaMAG's stainless steel shell creates a smooth seam that will not collect fines. The domed end is designed to reduce the magnetic field at the bottom of the cylinder so that the metal particles release.

The megaMAG is retro-fittable to the Graymills Superflo HFST ink filter.
