fast, powerful, page-independent impositioning workflow
The Brisque® Impose workflow provides an intuitive, easy-to-use
workflow with powerful hardware options. Its comprehensive control over every phase
of the prepress process reduces errors and increases efficiency at every step.
The Brisque Impose solution is available in single- or multi-CPU configurations,
offering the highest performance and the richest set of included features in the
Brisque family. With state-of-the-art Performance Series 2-, 4- and 6-CPU hardware,
these workflows have the power to drive all Kodak CTP and CTF output devices,
including very large format (16-page) devices, to their maximum capacity.
Additional input and output compatibility is easily added through
Brisque Extenders and Enhancers.
Comprehensive features for fast, accurate prepress production
Brisque Impose maximizes press-operating time, shortens makereadies, and handles
unexpected pressroom problems without the need for reprocessing flats. Press-related
settings, such as screening, dot gain compensation and imposition, are performed on
the Brisque Impose before output so you can incorporate last-minute changes with ease.
Changes or corrections are made to individual elements, thus avoiding the cost and
downtime associated with redoing and re-RIPing an entire flat, and enables flexibility
in production scheduling. The Brisque Impose workflow offers automated image replacement,
page and form proofing, and the ability to expose to both film and plate. It includes
the ability to handle full PostScript® flat impositioning and Imposition
Control Files (ICF) for independent page impositioning. Both ICC color management and
PANTONE® spot colors are handled accurately with proofer-to-proofer
consistency.
Full Auto Frames (FAF) trapping distributes trapping tasks including continuous
tone (CT) trapping and split-frame trapping. The Frame Decision List makes it easy
to distribute work by previewing, modifying and executing trapping decisions on
different PressTouch™ workstations. You can also optionally trap post-RIP
Brisque pages on a separate Macintosh® computer. Image positioning
can be manual or automatic, and you can proof single or reader spreads.
