Prepress for Flexography is a 2-day training program focused towards designers, production artists, and graphics managers at all skill or experience levels who need a better understanding of the flexographic printing process. Designers and production artists who are new to flexo will find this program especially valuable.
The 2-Day Flexography seminar is broken into three parts: Introduction to Flexographic Printing, Color Theory and Process Color Printing, and Prepress Workflow. Using the FlexSys Flexographic Press Simulator, live samples, examples, and illustrations, each individual will understand the purpose, features, and limitations related to flexographic printing. They will know the variables such as the ink characteristics and environmental conditions which influence the reproduction of color images. Ultimately they will understand the prepress workflow and how to design and prepare art for the unique characteristics of flexographic printing.
The final day will involve hands on experience exposing, processing, drying, and finishing a Flexographic printing plate. We encourage class participation, as our focus is to help you find real world solutions to your everyday workflow.

Enrollment is limited to 10 participants. Your fee includes all materials, one copy of Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances, Third Addition with CD-ROM, CD-ROM of training handouts and daily lunches, snacks and beverages. The schedule for each day is 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
This program is periodically offered at our facility in Glendale Heights, IL; however, we can also come to your facility. We can even customize the content to more specifically reflect your production environment and desired training agenda.
