Our Process

Although every training situation is different with a unique set of goals and deliverables, APR has developed a proven training process to deliver consistently effective performance improvement.

Phase I - Discovery

Our initial step is a "discovery & assessment" visit. At this initial visit, it is APR's objective to observe as many functional areas as necessary. During this assessment, we will often conduct testing of employees to better determine knowledge levels (if they are available for this purpose). We will also make every effort to understand your specific improvement objectives & expectations. Normally, two APR employees conduct this discovery phase.

Phase II - Defined Proposal & Requirements Document Creation

From our initial discovery, we will present a more detailed proposal to meet your specific needs and expectations. This proposal and requirements document will include an overview, the training objectives, the project scope, the stages of development and timelines, trainer information, roles and responsibilities listing and estimated fees and payments. Ultimately this document serves as a guide and record, both during and post-implementation, to keep everyone on track and to make sure we are meeting your full expectations.

Phase III - Designing A Custom Fit

After consultation, we begin to design a curriculum, tailoring the training to your area(s) of greatest need. The number and length of training sessions, number of trainers required, training methods to be employed (web-based, simulator, classroom, Webcast, hands-on, etc.) are based on your overall objectives and budget. A "train the trainer" approach can be taken as well where preferred.

All training would be designed and implemented to meet specific measurable results wherever possible. The number of trainers needed, length of program, focus of training and other considerations will determine which and how many APR trainers are required to meet expectations.

Phase IV - Training - Pulling It All Together

Once the program outline is determined to meet your objectives, we take it from there. APR's training and technical staff will carry out the scheduled training curriculum. We put together all required materials, product graphics and visual aids as needed. We can also assist in administrating on-going training, either on a short or long-term basis. Pre- and post-testing is utilized throughout the process to demonstrate that the proper concepts are being learned and understood. Documentation of training, including procedures and reference materials, is prepared so training can successfully continue without APR's direct involvement. Training can also be developed to include web-based or intranet-based learning events.
