This seminar's goal is to benefit anyone seeking information or training at all levels of printing. This includes companies who wish to advance skills in areas such as process printing, color reproduction and control of overall print performance.
Problem Solving / Classroom Style Approach
A classroom type environment is used and each seminar is limited to twenty (20) participants. This is done to facilitate individual problem solving, participation, and the overall learning experience. Attendees are encouraged to bring examples of printing problems for specific problem solving discussion and assistance.

Program Outline
Ink Train
This section focuses on improving print quality and cost through better control of the ink metering system. Included are comprehensive discussions on selecting and using ink pumps, correct use and type of doctor blades, optimizing the performance of chambered doctor blade systems, measuring and controlling ink viscosity, and understanding how to specify an anilox roll. We also discuss proper care and cleaning of ceramic anilox rolls.
Printing Plates
Topics included are photopolymer platemaking and printing procedures as well as new trends in plate materials and platemaking.
Stickyback & Plate Mounting Considerations
This discussion covers selecting the right stickyback for line, screen, and process printing. We also cover some of the misconceptions about stickybacks and plate mounting. Trends in plate mounting technology are also covered.
Color Measurement
Probably one of the most misunderstood areas of the printing process, numeric color measurement is a hot topic and being demanded by many print buyers. We discuss the tools for measuring this element of print quality including densitometers, spectrophotometers, and video web inspection systems.
