Training / Technical Staff
Catherine Haynes - Director of Training - over 12 years of experience in the printing industry to include Offset Lithography, Gravure, and Flexographic (lightweight paper, film, and corrugated) printing. Catherine has held positions in nearly all phases of the flexo printing process to include a technician and training developer for Clemson University's Corrugated Program, a mid-web F&K press operator, laminator operator, pressroom manager, graphic coordinator and manager for a flexo plant. Catherine is also certified as "Expert Level Press Operator" by the NCSS (National Council for Skill Standards) in Graphic Communication. Catherine graduated with honors from Clemson's Graphic Arts program and has been a speaker, session chairperson twice, and forum chairperson for the FTA Forums, as well as a judge for FTA's annual printing awards. At APR, Catherine is the Director of Training and has conducted numerous training programs, from basic to advanced on various aspects of flexo printing to include press operator certifications and FlexSys™ simulator training. She also creates customized [continuous] training curriculums for Flexo printers.
Tim Reece - Director of Technical Services - over 25 years experience in wide web flexo before joining APR nine years ago in this position. Tim's experiences include press operator and prepress/plat-making manager. Tim is certified by the NCSS as an Expert Press Operator and has conducted more training for companies wishing to have operators certified than anyone in the industry. He has spoken for the TLMI on training and has presented at FTA Forums as well as serving as a judge for the FTA printing awards on three occasions. For APR, Tim has lead numerous customer training programs, especially in the areas of achieving press operator certifications (beginner to expert), plate-making, plate mounting, and FlexSys™ simulator training.
Richard Black - Business Development Manager, Prepress Solutions - Richard Black has been involved with the printing and publishing industry for more than 25 years. Richard graduated California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Communications. He began his career by working for several large lithographic printers in the Southern California area. He held positions of Customer Service, Product Planning, Shift Supervisor, Plant manager and Sales. Prior to joining APR and the Flexo industry, Richard spent the past seventeen years working for major manufacturers such as Fujifilm and GretagMacbeth where he held positions of Technical Advisor, Product Manager, Director of Product Development and Business Development manager. Richard joined All Printing Resources, Inc. (APR) in August of 2006 as Business Development Manager, Pre-Press Solutions. Richard will focus on customer support and product development in the areas of color management, workflow & CTP solutions for Flexo.
Gary Schollmeyer - Technical Services Specialist - has over twenty-five years experience in pressroom management and assessing printing operations for a major converter. He served as part of an in-house diagnostic/audit team for quality improvement and company wide efficiency and repeatability. Gary's main training and assessment roll for APR is in increasing productivity and quality in the pressroom.
Steve Van Dyke - Technical Representative - before joining APR, Steve had extensive background in prepress and pressroom management at two major converters. Since joining APR, Steve has been a major contributor to APR's training programs as well as a regular teacher at Fox Valley Technical College.
Cher Jolliff - Macintosh Trainer - Cher Jolliff's career in the training field began in 1985 while working for a subsidiary of Young & Rubicam, one of the largest advertising agencies in the world. She was responsible for producing presentations and training seminars for the entire staff. This training orientation continued with cj graphic solutions, inc., dedicated to consulting & teaching Macintosh skills, digital color prepress production, and technical support. She has been a speaker for the International Graphic Arts Education Association Conference and taught evening classes at community colleges for over 8 years as an adjunct faculty member. Cher focuses most of her attention on Electronic Illustration and Graphic Design, as well as Prepress Imaging and Special FX.
