Trouble-Shooting for Flexo Workshops

APR can conduct workshops on trouble-shooting for the flexographic printing process. Participants will be instructed in processes for trouble-shooting various common problems and will learn possible causes and solutions. Students will also use densitometers, spectrophotometers, plate analyzers, and print analysis tools to collect the data needed to correctly trouble-shoot a series of problems.

Initially, two programs will be offered with an emphasis on wide web; one designed for beginner to intermediate levels and another for intermediate to advanced. Some of the problems will include:

• Mis-registration
• Chattering, Bounce and Gear marks
• Repeatability "Re-inventing the wheel...over and over and..."
• Print misses and high marks
• Density and dot issues "The numbers match, but the image doesn't"

Training can be conducted at APR's training center in Glendale Heights, Illinois or can also be customized for individual companies who would prefer an in-house program tailored to their specific needs.
