Gear Tooth based Print Repeat & Distortion Calculator

The pitch circle is the imaginary circle on the gear that corresponds to the printing repeat or circumference.
Circular pitch is the distance from a point on a gear tooth along the pitch circle to the same point on the next gear tooth. Multiplying the circular pitch by the number of teeth on the gear yields the print repeat length.
Diametral pitch is a ratio equal to the number of gear teeth per inch of printing diameter. So a 10dp gear means a one-inch diameter plate cylinder would have 10 teeth. We can convert this to circular pitch by dividing Pi by the diametral pitch. Multiply this by the number of teeth to determine the print repeat length.
