Color Management can be a baffling issue to manage within the print production workflow. It is a complex topic that remains a constant focus of attention for improvement. To fully understand how to most effectively manage color it helps to break it down. This layered approach includes understanding color space, color theory, and color measurement. We can then apply strategies to control, predict, and balance color.
We start our deep dive into color management with an exploration of color space. This discussion introduces the understanding that color is three-dimensional. We will map and compare the color of different color rendering systems. This will allow us to better visualize how and why colors look different between these systems.
