Top 3 Countdown to Improved Color Measurement

Techkon has some cool new releases set for the first half of this year. The SpectroDRIVE and SpectroDens received a face lift for 2017 as well as improved functions and features. Perhaps more exciting is the much anticipated release of the GV Spectro for inline color measurement. Once again Techkon expands on their product suite  and demonstrates a commitment to not only improving the user experience, but also improving the color management process for all pressrooms.

#3  SpectroDRIVE

New Generation Features for the SpectroDRIVE

Already this year, Techkon has launched an improved SpectroDRIVE. This is an automated color measurement solution for Offset printing. New features include:

  • Measurement Modes
  • Display Screen on the Scanner
  • Laser Guide
  • More Rugged structure

#2  SpectroDens

The SpectroDens gets a NEW Look and NEW Features

I am particularly excited about the upcoming release of the new SpectroDens. Stay tuned as it is expected to release by the end of Q1, at which point I will announce more details. Here is a preview of some of the new generation enhancements:

  • New Aluminum Case
  • Upgrade to optical sensor (so it will report every 10 nm)
  • Wireless inductive charging (pretty awesome)
  • #1 New Feature - New encoder to scan an entire color bar up to 40"
  • Continued benefit of 2-year warranty period

#1  GV-Spectro

On Press Color Measurement!

With an expected release in early Q2, this inline spectro is a true color measurement solution for Flexo, Offset and Gravure web presses. Some of the cooler features include:

  • Ability to measure targets and/or within an image
  • Uses a spectral head (for color measurement) in conjunction with a camera web viewer (to assist in finding measurement locations). While it does not inspect for print errors, it is ideal for density, color and color difference evaluations.
  • Measurement locations are indicated within a PDF and then synced to a tolerance.

Contact APR for more details. Be sure to check in the near future for additional posts once the SpectroDens and GV-Spectro officially release!
