Labor Issues Straining Today's Printers

In the last few years we have been hearing and seeing our industry struggle with labor related issues. Industry Surveys and Events continue to sight the following as top-level issues straining print companies today:
- workforce shortages,
- unskilled labor pools,
- and difficultly retaining newly trained employees
In an effort to better support our customers and our industry as a whole, All Printing Resources has made strides in the last couple years to broaden our services. We are now offering more seminars and workshops throughout the year. Many of these events are hosted at our Technical Innovation Center in the Chicago area, though we also started a Regional Troubleshooting series in 2019.
In addition to our hosted events, we also offer a large variety of customized, onsite programs related to prepress, plate-making, the pressroom, color management and other topics as requested. For many of our onsite programs we suggest starting with the fundamentals. This becomes the base for building those stronger communication and trouble-shooting skills. We can then progress to Advanced Flexo discussions that incorporate color management for spot, process and/or expanded gamut printing. We help your team to understand and refine skills for success with CMYK printing, print consistency, process control, and troubleshooting. We share sample training outlines to start the conversation and often customize the content as needed based on specific expectations and needs.

This year we are also hosting an Advanced Screening and Print Summit in August at our Technical Innovation Center.
