Richard Black

All Printing Resources (APR) has appointed Richard Black to the role of vice president of business development. The role was created specifically for Black as APR reinforces its commitment to the company’s culture of customer care and topline product offerings across the US flexible packaging and label printing industries.

Black’s role will focus on strategic customer relations and product development in key printed packaging areas. He joined APR in 2006, serving as director of digital solutions and has spent more than 30 years in the packaging industry. He has served on the Technical Committee of the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI) since 2013 and on the Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) FIRST committee since 2007.

In 2015, Black won the FTA President’s Award, an honor given to industry members who have distinguished themselves in ways that have positively affected the flexographic community, the Association, and its membership.

“Richard has a strong track record of strategic customer relations and next-generation product development," says Dave Nieman, president and CEO of APR. "APR has a highly successful and established presence in the flexible packaging industry, and Richard’s new role will be an integral part of expanding our reach in the narrow web sector. With the installation of a new Bobst M5 press at our Technical Center, APR has never been more effectively positioned to deliver innovative products and tangible process improvement results to label printers across the US."
