  • Oils used to standardize EZ Cups are produced in accordance with ISO 9002: 1984; EN 29002: 1984; BS5750 Part 2: 1984; ANSI/ASQC Q92: 1984.
  • The EZ Cup formula for each cup of the series matches the applicable ASTM formula in D 4212 at the recommended calibration level.
  • EZ Cups are compatible to ASTM D 1084 Viscosity of Adhesives and ASTM D 816.

Additional EZ Cup Advantages

  • The EZ Cup orifices are machined rather than drilled to insure exact centering in the cup hemisphere base and a minimum of burr formation. This insures an orifice of specified length and a correct symmetrical efflux stream.
  • The EZ Cup support rods are offset from the side of the cup and secured to the cup sidewall below the cup rim. This eliminates errors due to test material drainage from support surfaces.
  • The increased separation width of the support rods by over 20% and the lowering of weld to the cup provide best possible conditions for cleaning.

Calibrated S90 ZAHN Signature Series Dip Viscosity Cup

S90/Zahn Signature dip Viscosity cups are an improved version of the time honored Zahn Signature viscosity cups. GARDCO is the only producer authorized to use the Zahn name and has added the S90 designation to identify the improved viscosity cups manufactured on new state-of-the-art equipment to ensure optimum quality and uniformity. Calibration of the S90/Zahn cups match the earlier Zahn Signature cups. Conversion formulas and tables relating cup efflux time in seconds to viscosity in centistokes are identical for both series of cups. S90/Zahn cups are calibrated with standard "G" series oils traceable to the National Institute of Standards & Technology. "G" series calibration oils are produced in accordance with ISO 9002.

  • Cup flow characteristics are defined by a mathematical formula and standard "G" series oils.
  • Furnished with each S90/Zahn cup is a conversion table relating cup efflux time to the nearest tenth of a second to viscosity in centistokes.
