Film, hard copy proofs, drawings, samples, job tickets, plates (offset and flexo), CDs and all types of digital storage media are valuable materials which require protection. In the dynamics of the graphic arts industry, such materials need to be stored and retrieved quickly and safely. The Grafi-System from Jalema was developed for this very purpose. It is an integrated filing system specifically geared to the demands and desires of the graphic arts industry. The Grafi-System is the perfect filing solution for the entire graphic arts process, from concept through production to printing. With the Grafi-System, indexing, locating, removing and replacing materials can be accomplished in a matter of seconds. Further, because the files are suspended laterally on a profile-bar, the Grafi-System saves valuable floor space. The Grafi-System will save you time, space and money.
Jalema Grafi-System Coding
Filing means not only storing files, but also finding them when you need them. A good coding system enables you to file optimally, that is, with a minimum of time and effort. Jalema has integrated such a coding system in the Grafi-System. The system is based on color-coding the files using self-adhesive colored tabs with numbers, letters, years, months, or just colors. Every code tab has its own color, so a "misfile" is immediately noticeable and therefore preventable. There are two color-coding system options available. Our "Code in One" allows you to select a pre-set range of numbers for your files. Our Code-Tabs allow you to custom-code the files yourself in accordance with your own system.
Code in One
Jalema has developed a convenient, time-saving system for our customers who index their files numerically. Our Code-In-One labels allow you to purchase a pre-set range of numbers printed on a single label. Each pack contains 1,000 labels with four numbers pre-printed on each label. The pre-printed numbers run consecutively from the start of the range (e.g. 0000) to the end of the range (e.g. 0999). Please see the item descriptions below for the specific number ranges available.
Jalema Grafi-System Expansion
Jalema Expanso lets you use your current filing space 75% more efficiently and without structural or architectural changes, or time-consuming moves. Jalema Expanso consists of a set of tracks and a carriage. The tracks are mounted on the floor in front of and parallel to your Uni-racks or Offset-racks. The tracks can also be joined for continuous lengths.
Please note: stacked Offset-racks cannot be placed on the Expanso system. Jalema Expanso for Grafi-System filing comes as a do-it-yourself kit. Easy-to-follow assembly instructions are included in the packaging.
Jalema Grafi-System Files
The heart of the Grafi-System - the total filing solution for the graphic arts industry - consists of extremely durable and multifunctional files in a wide range of formats and designs. Because these files are filed laterally, that is diagonally, on a profile, they save up to 40% of the space taken up by traditional storage systems. Compared to filing cabinets, for example, you can store 3 to 4 times more files with the Grafi-System in the same amount of floor space. What's more, it is easier and faster to find the file you need when you need it. Space-saving lateral filing is possible thanks to Jalema's unique single point of suspension. The files are held on the profile-bar with a solid stainless steel hook which allows the file to be removed with a simple one-handed movement (a pendulum-like motion). Another advantage of lateral filing is the use of Jalema's sophisticated and time-saving color coding system (Codetabs or Code in One).
Jalema Grafi-System Uni-racks
The Jalema Uni-racks and duo-profiles (t-bars) provide safe, flexible storage in various size combinations. Job-files, repro-files (except for the largest size of both) and the Design-file can be suspended together in the same rack. Files of smaller size are suspended in the upper section and larger files in the lower section. Expansion is simple through the addition of extension units attached to either end. Uni-racks are supplied as complete kits with simple easy to follow instructions: one enclosed tool does the job. Jalema offers two types of Uni-racks: One rack of 15 3/4" depth which is suited for files up to and including 18 7/8" x 22 1/2" and one rack of 21 5/7" depth for files up to and including 25 1/4" x 31 1/2".
